Teistele teadmiseks, et sisu poolest on "Kui rumalad surid" "Kettmõõgaga mõõdetud maa" otsene järg ja seda koguni sellisel määral, et neid võiks lausa üheks pikaks romaaniks pidada, mis on sarnaselt ühele peategelasele keskelt pooleks lõigatud; romaan kujutab endast ulme erinevate alamžanrite (kosmoseooper, küber- ja aurupunk, postapo ja fantasy) hullumeelset kiire sündmustikuga segu ning süngus ja traagilisus segunevad absurdiga, mis avaldub hästi ka järjekordet metakirjanduslikku sõnamängu sisaldavas pealkirjas, mis sedapuhku teeb kummarduse ühele Nõukogude ajal eesti keeles ilmunud Saksa DV kirjaniku ulmeromaanile.
Ilmselt ongi mõningane tüdimus sellest jaburavõitu tegevusmaailmast ja absurdi/traagika ebakõla peamisteks asjaoludeks, miks mu käsi ei tõuse käesolevale romaanile maksimumhinnet panema. Samas on romaani viimased paarkümmend lehekülge oma süngete transhumanistlike teemadega ikkagi puhas kuld ja hindele "4" tuleb rasvane plussmärk otsa. Kuna sündmustiku otsad siin raamatus suures osas kokku sõlmitakse, võiks ka arvata, et tsükkel jääbki neljaköiteliseks, ehkki päris kindel see muidugi pole.
